Dear Friends and Family, These short days of December are a time of celebrations for us. Tomorrow (the 23rd) is my grandson's birthday, Christmas Eve is my birthday, and Christmas Day is the birthday of Christ. We will be celebrating on Friday, the 24th, at 2 pm in my home on the Mount of Olives with all the guests who are staying here at the moment, and all of you who wish to come. We are currently hosting people from Germany, France, England, USA, Canada, Korea and Israel. Thanks to your prayers and good wishes, thank God, I have almost recovered completely from my operation, and was so happy to get out of bed and see that the city still exists. I would love to hear from you and to meet you soon. Merry Christmas Dear Friends, Dear Friends Around the World, It's been a beautiful day on the 24th December. We had a beautiful party for my birthday, many friends showed up and many calls from all around the world. It is so beautiful when many people are staying in my home, coming from different countries, nations, languages and religions. At the end of the day they all went to Bethlehem with some of my children, and came back after midnight. It has been raining and cold, but still beautiful things happened: they told me it has been so easy to cross the checkpoint, without any problem. Our Jewish cousins were waiting at the checkpoint at the entrance to Bethlehem, giving flowers and sweets from the Israeli ministry of tourism to the visitors, to pass them to Palestinian children in Bethlehem with a greeting for peace between the two nations. We hope this Christmas will be a beginning of a change in the relationship between the Palestinians and the Israelis, to live together again as brothers and sisters. God willing, soon in the coming year will be no checkpoint, no border and no walls. Please continue to pray for us, Merry Christmas, Dear Friends, We had a busy election day today. The youth were in the street calling for everybody to vote. There were also many observers from EU on the Mount of Olives, as well as many police cars. The general atmosphere was of hope for peace, and people said that the elected leader should bring peace between the nations, with the help of God. Thank you for all your support, keep praying and supporting the efforts for peace in the Middle East. God bless you, |
